Water leak in driver’s side floor board

Another leak question. I have a rain water leak in the drivers side front that appears to be coming from the wiper cowl drainage area.

I’ve pulled the fender off and I suspect there’s an improperly welded area in the sheet metal prices. I’ve put some silicone on one area, but water is still coming in. See pics

Please post the details of your truck when asking for help. Why oh why did you use red RTV? :rolleyes:

There were issues with a seam in the cowl area on mostly 2019's, and a few threads where people discussed this can be found with a search. Here is a Star Publication associated with those issues...

Yeah, the red rtv wasn’t a good choice! Very much appreciate the info - have now treated the area with spray sealant as the bulletin recommended. Will check and see if that did the trick tomorrow.

Oh, this is a 2021 Ram workman Classic Crew Cab with a 5.7 Hemi.
