Traded in my ecodiesel after the motor blew at 134,000, just got my 22 hemi and were going to be taking the camper soon. I was wondering what are the average temps I should see while towing and at what point should I be concerned.

I can tell you the normal coolant temps can vary from 205F - 220F when moving unloaded, up to 230F when at idle before the fans switch on.

Heavy towing up a hill for extended periods, I mean essentially the most hard-core situation you can think of for a 1500 within capacity, you can hit up to 240-245F in coolant and 280F in oil temps!

But in just normal towing, you should be around 215F - 235F. I think the overheat warning comes at 250F for coolant.

I've noticed that my 2021 Bighorn runs about 10 degrees hotter on average than my 2015 (roughly 205 degrees vs 195 degrees). Pretty much everything is the same (V8, 4x4, etc.) except that the 2021 has the 3.92 instead of 3.21 and also has eTorque.
