Want to install Mopar power running boards

Hello everyone, new to the forum and have gleaned a lot of information thus far so thank you all. I am wanting to install a set of Mopar power running boards (Part #82215287AB) on my truck and I have searched this and other forums but not a lot of information found and what I did find was conflicting. So those that have installed these do they work upon install or do you need to go to the dealer to have the computer flashed? Will they show up in the settings on the U-Connect screen like the factory installed option? Thank you for any and all input.

For proper function and UConnect control you have to have the sales code flashed by a dealer. A decent dealer won't change more than a half hour of shop labor.
