Does doing a muffler delete void warranty? Would service department make a fuss about it while servicing? Any information would be appreciated.

Any other suggestions mods that doesn't void the warranty?

Note: Im currently leasing my 19 Ram 1500...

Thanks!

Your dealer might just think your lack of a muffler is due to poor factory quality control! HaHa  If you do a muffler delete, save the muffler to have it welded back on when your lease ends.

Not sure what exactly the rules are with leasing, but mods don’t just void your warranty and the service dept. isn’t going to care that you have swapped out the muffler. Will your warranty coverage be void on your stock muffler at that point? Absolutely. The rest of your vehicle will still be under warranty. Same with any other mods. Now if you lift it and a ball joint goes bad relatively quick, they’re not going to likely cover it due to the lift.

Modding a lease is like painting a rental home - you're doing it for yourself and if the 'owner' doesn't like it, then expect to put it back to stock.

So that said, it also depends on how much service the dealer's doing for you and what your lease agreement is for modifications / personalizations. No one here can tell you what will fly based on your lease agreement.

If this was an owned vehicle, FCA may choose to deny a warranty if the modification directly correlates with the problem (Magnussen Moss Warranty Act)

I agree with what has been said but will say it a bit differently in case that helps somebody. Nothing you do to your vehicle "voids the warranty". There is a prohibition of tie in sales that prevents car suppliers from limiting you to use of their services after you buy the vehicle. The dealer cannot point to your new lug nuts and tell you your warranty is void (he can say it but will lose if you take them to court and they know it so they probably will not bring it up) But when you modify the vehicle you are responsible for the impact to the vehicle. As long as you know what you are doing, that is fine. But if you do something that damages the vehicle, the dealer is not obligated to make repairs under warranty. Their warranty does not cover what you do. Makes sense really.
