Good morning,

I am currently averaging around 23 - 23.2 in my V6, 50/50 (City, Highway). I think this is an incredible number, especially coming from a Hummer H2 that averaged 11. My mods are the RIPP coil packs, Hikeit X9, magnaflow 22" muffler (stock resonator), aFe cold air intake and 80MM throttle body. My truck goes in on April 26th to have true duals installed. Has anyone ever looked under their 3.6L at the stock exhaust? Right after the cats is an absolute MESS of 2.25" exhaust piping. My exhaust shop guy as well as the dyno shop guy said I should definitely clean up the pipes. I'll be having the stock pipes cleaned up and attached to an X-pipe as close to the cats as possible, then I'll have 2.25 inch pipes ran to two 18" magnaflow offset center mufflers, the pipes will then go over my rear diff and exit out the rear with 2 9" black resonator tips. As far as the dyno goes, my truck dyno'd (average) of 296HP and 280 Torque (to the wheels). Dyno shop said cleaning up my exhaust pipes and going to true duals will absolutely put me over 300HP and hopefully place me in the mid to high 290's for torque. FYI: best mod for MPG has by far has been my aFe intake, best mod for overall power has been the RIPP coil packs. My truck will never be a Hemi, but I didn't buy it for the power, I bought it for the MPG for I am retiring soon and will be traveling a lot. So far I am extremely happy with my truck.

Post your mods and mpg!

I get 22mpg in South Florida, mostly Highway, no mods yet for MPG improvement.

Cool. Also, let me know if it sounds any different, I'm assuming it will.

I'm hoping it won't. With the size of the mufflers I've chosen it should be pretty quiet. These 3.6's don't sound good with crazy exhaust systems.

@Smerberj how you liking the Hikeit X9? Thinking about getting one. Does it help with keeping the gears a little more constant when driving in traffic? Was debating on the hikeit X9 or X5.

Honestly, I keep it in Auto all of the time. It completely eliminated the dreaded throttle lag from the 3.6L.
