Utility bed using the puck system for a gooseneck hitch

Have a 23 ram 3500 6.7. It has the puck system pre-installed on the frame. After I bought it I changed the bed to a utility bed. I also want to have the gooseneck hitch for my trailers but the puck system fits under the bed floor now. I'm guessing I'll just cut 3 squares out and put hinges on them to close when not in use and open when I need to hook up my gooseneck but wondering if anyone else has run into this problem and has a better solution.
