Use existing front cam as dash cam?

I was just wondering if there is a product out there, that would be able to connect into the OBD2 port or the U-connect system somehow and allow you to record from your existing front and rear cameras essentially giving you dash cam capability with the existing cameras? It just seems like this would be an easy product to put together and would have a wide audience out of the gate since a lot of these trucks already have the cams built in now.
