Strange scenario, but here goes.
Intermittently my USB ports (all of them) quit working. Tried different phones, different cables, different ports. All dead. After some time they come back and will charge and I can connect up to Android Auto again. After watching this happen occasionally over time, I've noticed that it only seems to happen after my truck has been sitting out in the AZ sun for some time. And usually only on the hottest of days. If it's above 110 out it is a 75% possibility of the USB ports not to work.
It's in the shop now for recalls, the startup clunk and fluids. They are going to "look into" the USB issue, but since its a cool 98 today I know it wont reproduce and they wont be able to do anything.
