So this is a long one but I am lost. 1 week ago I was driving doing 50 and all of a sudden every warning light came on in my truck. Truck dropped to first gear and was able to coast into a gas station. Loss all power. Turned truck off for about 5 mins. Trucked started right up and was able to drive normal for about 25 miles. Went to auto store to pull codes and while sitting in parking lot it went nuts again. Every warning possible. I turned truck off and it would not start after that. It was completely dead. No lights or anything. Towed to the house. Next morning tow truck operator jumped it and it started right away (still had it towed). Had 3 pages of codes. Dealer said battery was bad, replaced battery and all was good for about three days. Yesterday I go to start the truck and the dash display is saying PRESS BRAKE AND PUSH BUTTON to start. What it says every time you get in it. Go to push button to start it and nothing. No clicking, no trying to start. Just the OFF light on the push button blinking. It does absolutely nothing. No warning lights it is just stuck on that screen. New battery is reading 13.8 volts from my meter. Had it towed again. Sat all night at dealer and went completely dead due to display being on for over 24 hours. Dealer put a battery in and started right up. They are doing a DRAW test on it now. I just find it odd that every time it sits dead for a long time it will jump start normal.
Yes I did disconnect the battery for 30 mins each time this happened and it did nothing.
It is a 22 Laramie 5.7 not the etorque. Does not have the start stop option either.
Anyone gone through anything like this. Truck is stock.
UPDATE 1-7-2025. Found Can C board blown a circuit. See Photo. also the RFH antennas are bad. Have to replace this module as well. I am hoping this is all.
Update 1-8-2025: Replaced battery again, replaced the Can C board and RFH module. The mechanic said it was a moisture issue. It was pouring down rain when all this happened so maybe, but it was not wet in my truck. Nothing is covered under the factory warranty at 45,000 miles. I will keep updates going but truck ran well this morning.
