Attached is my UOA from Blackstone. I ran Red Line 5w-20 with a Royal Purple 10-48 filter for 7,100 miles; 15,100mi on odometer. I put in the same and will try the change at 5k miles (20k truck miles).

Copper and iron are high. Does anyone else have UOAs that are this high on copper?

Truck idled a bit more than normal for warm-up over the winter months plus some of the days during the cold snap (-30s in Wisconsin) didn't help much but still seems odd it's so high.

Side note, I installed the Fumoto F106S quick drain and it seems like it's going to be super slick to change oil....except for the oil filter which might as well be inside the engine! ;)

I'll be ordering a fumoto oil valve before my next change, agreed with the oil filter location....some great engineering haha

Iron is break in wear. Not sure where all the copper is coming from?

Aren't the rod and main bearings in the 5.7 made from copper and aluminum?

Copper is coming from the oil cooler . From what I can tell from UOAs I have seen, it might take 40k to 60 k miles to get to normal.

Here is my last report for comparison with yours, my copper was also high on this sample, but since it was my second oil change with about 4,200 miles (on the sample) and 9,000 total on the engine, they assume it's because of break-in.
