Unidentified part dropped off

Anybody happen to know what this part is? It's about an inch long.
Was sitting under my accelerator pedal this morning.
Don't see where it could have come from under the dash.
Some kind of limiter?

This looks like the baby brother of the clamps often used to hold caps and tonneau cover rails to the bed. It probably was supposed to mount some part or accessory under the dash. It's also the kind of thing that an assembler might drop and just grab another from the bin.

It's a recall part. It's stops the adjustable pedals from unscrewing. V07 Recall, dealer should fix it for you
