Under seat rifle storage

Hi there, I live in Alaska and traverse quite a bit of road every day. I generally carry a long rifle in my truck to road hunt bear on occasion. My previous Ram had RamBoxes and made making a rifle mount super easy, my new one (2020 Ram 1500 Crew Cab) doesn't have them.

I was thinking about something under the back seat like this:

...wondering if anyone had any alternate ideas? Better suggestions?

I loved my Tuffy one. I had one in my Silverado but they make the same thing for Ram.

Go with Tuffy for your use since based on its descriptions its steel versus Du-Ha plastic since you’re using it to carry a rifle.

I’ve been driving a 2021 Ram 1500 for a while now, and I’ve faced similar challenges with storing my rifle securely. I think the under-seat option you linked to looks like a solid idea! I actually went with a similar setup, and it's worked well for keeping my rifle out of sight and safe from damage.
