I have the app on my iPhone and everything seems to be connected fine. Service is active as I called them when I got the truck several weeks ago. However, just tried unlocking and locking the car via the app and got nothing. App indicated it my take 30 seconds and then I get nothing. App keeps track of my requests and indicated that the request was received. Thoughts from those who have used this before? Does this take 5 or more minutes? Thanks!!

For me on my Android, it takes about 1 to 3 minutes. Same if I use Alexa.

Yeah, the UConnect app is crap. Sometime is can take about five minutes for it to do something.
It would be fine if it were free, but having to dish out $25 / mo after your 1st year is up is ludicrous, therefore I did not renew and have not missed not having it.

Cheers,

Don't have it on my truck, but on my '17 Charger it was very hit or miss. Sometimes worked immediately, sometimes after 5+ minutes, sometimes it worked but didn't report back that the command was executed. And 99% of the time I was using it in the same location (work parking lot). Nearly useless in my opinion.

The Porsche app works great, is fast and contains some very useful information that Uconnect simply does not have. This Uconnect won't get used and will be dropped after first year. Too bad, it could be a very useful benefit.....

My thoughts exactly. If it was free (or even maybe $5/mo for remote start/lock/unlock only) AND IT WORKED 100%, it would be totally worth it and useful. As is.... Hard pass.

So, I just got off the phone with Uconnect. After 20 minutes, they told me their tests were successful (nothing actually happened with the truck!!) and that I would have to see the dealer for service of the head end unit!! Not sure if I should actually mention it to the dealer as I don't want anything else to come back "not working". Everything else seems to be fine with Uconnect. Thoughts??

It’s not the head unit. I can almost guarantee it. It’s just a finicky app.

That is what I think as well. Not sure I want the dealer to "diagnose" the issue to be honest. However, in the very off chance I will need this in the next 11 1/2 months, it would be nice to have and have it actually work!

I use it and has worked every time...I will say though it is slow. OnStar with Chevy was much quicker

UConnect is the biggest failure of the RAM line. Compared to BMW, Chevy, Volvo, it truly sucks. It is worse for those of us with the 12" screen, cannot even get vehicle info out of it.
