Uconnect 5 update on Ram that came with Uconnect 4

I did not see an existing thread related to this.

I have a 2019 Ram 1500 that came with the 8.4 Uconnect 4. I upgraded this to a 12" with Uconnect 5 and did the work myself, I bought the equipment from an individual so I dont know if the equipment is new or used. It works but seams glitchy some times, example, sometimes the screen will freeze and it puts out a lout buzzing noise from the speakers, nothing will stop it other than holding the power button so it resets, sometimes the wireless carplay cuts in and out as well.

I was hoping a software update would fix this but I cant get wifi updates to work I think because the radio isnt tied to my trucks VIN. Also 2020 and up do not support USB updates so with me having a Uconnect 5 in the truck I dont think that will work and I cant download an update on the computer because they think my truck has U4.

Has anyone figured out a way to get updates in this situation or would i have to go to dealership for them to update what equipment my truck now has?

You can on my year model. The problem is getting my hands on the update. I have to enter my VIN on the Uconnect website, my VIN is tied to my old system (UC4). So I don’t have access to UC5 updates. I’m guessing the dealer can update the new equipment my truck had so I can download UC5 updates?
