I know this topic has been discussed many time. My 23 Limited 12" has updated to a new version several times over the last few months. The First time I lost climate contol function, did a forced restart and problem was solved. This last one MY24.U35.26-PROD about two weeks ago has the head unit having a stroke or seizure or something. I have tried forced restarts, factor install with nothing fixing the problem. So I take it to the dealership. Now I have to repalce the head unit becuse they can not do a update, reinstall or whatever. My truck mileage is 37,500 miles. And you guessed it. Warrany will not cover the radio. So Now I have to come out of pocket to repalce the radio. I called the dodge mothership which was of no help, becuse they have nothign to do with the updates, but they can not say who is in charge of the updates or how to contact them. I called uconnect which I think was the same people with the same anwsers. My problem.... If this is a update forced on me, that I have no say so, that has caused this problem and now costs me money to get fixed just to beable to use my truck how is this not a even bigger issue. Ram has taken the ability of us to decide when to download and update which If at this point the radio bricked I could see it as my problem. How is this forced fota update our problem to get corrected. Surely I can not be the only one that is having this problem and having to pay to get it fixed.

I'm curious...
Has anyone come up with a solution or solved this ongoing problem? I would love to get my fingers on the actual updates and try to reflash it since the dealership can't or wont for some reason. I tried the u27 but i guess the radio is too smart and wont allow to downgrade.
How many of us are in this same positon to have to pay to have it fixed, is this not a recall or class action issue? How do we go about pushing this issue?

In the last few weeks, my 2023 with 12” has reported twice that an update failed. I have not noticed any problems with the unit, but I finally disconnected the battery and haven’t seen an error since.
To your legal point, this update was forced on you, and I would not hesitate to take them to small claims court to have them pay to replace your radio.
