Hey guys, my 2020 ram 2500 Cummins has been having some issues. It started when I noticed moisture in the drivers side taillight. This lead to a whole bunch of problems (display shutting off, windows locking up and defrost blasting among others). The truck says “blind spot detection unavailable service required”. I have repaired the crack in the tail light and dried the interior. However the taillight harness won’t come out. It seems like the previous owner had tried to remove it and now it stuck. Does anyone have any suggestions. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

push the red tab in and try that. that red tab is a locking device. I have seen on other connections. yours is pretty mangled so it may not work right

Yup. Slide the red lock in (it should slide in and out - out is the lock), then, while pushing the plug towards the socket (this should release pressure on the hook inside) push down hard on the black tab, then pull the plug off. As mentioned above, it looks a little mangled. If it does not slide off, it may require a pick slid inside to pry the hook down enough to pull the plug off.
