Looking at some takeoffs from a new TRX... just the wheels. I have 275/60R20 on my truck now. I plan on using 285/65R18 on the TRX wheels, which will give me very close to the same size tire... 1/2 inch shorter and 1/2 inch wider.

Anyone know if I'll have any issues with the wheels... or possibly need a spacer?

Thanks!

I added spacers when putting the TRX wheels on my Rebel. I put stock 275/70-18 AT tires on the rim. Without the spacers, the tire was close to the UCA, so the spacer helped.

Now, in one discussion, it was mentioned that the 9" rim and the 8" rim have the same backspacing, so the distance to the UCA should be the same, but in reality, the tire was closer with the TRX wheel. I would get something for spacing. I went with 1.5" and it gave the truck a good look.

Thanks for the info. Do your tires stick out past the side of a truck any?

The 1st picture is with factory Rebel tires on TRX wheels with no spacers. This is the distance on the UCA. It's closer than I like.

The 2nd pic is of the tire poke. It's not bad at all as the tread is still behind the mudflap, so i don't get trash or mud all over the side of the truck.

Thanks for the pics... looks good. I might need to back up and get 275 width instead of 285.

I don't know if they will be any different, but the TRX wheels I'm looking at are the bead lock wheels. I assume they'll have the same specs as your TRX wheels.

The bead locks are the same specs. Mine are from the Ignition Edition, so they aren't full black, which I'm not really a fan of, and they aren't full silver, which doesn't fit the look of my truck. If I find bead locks, I may grab a set, but I like the ones I have without paying for custom wheel prices.

I have 285/70/18 Toyo AT3's on TRX beadlocks with no spacers, and have a full 3/4" between the tire and UCA. I had considered 295s, but was concerned with clearance. In hindsight, they would have cleared and still left 1/2".
I'm pretty sure not all 285's will be exactly the same width at the UCA, but they should be close.
I also have a Limited Longhorn with the air suspension, which your 2024 Limited will also have, but I also have the ORG.
They may have slightly different suspension geometry at the UCA, which may be another reason why I seem to have more clearance than scottmoyer's Rebel.
