Has anyone installed a custom true dual exhaust system on their 5.7L Hemi V8 truck? I'm having a stroker 392 and supercharger installed and wanted to know if it would help installing a custom true dual exhaust system? Just looking for some info if anyone has done this already or has any experience with it. Thanks.

Have you checked the TRX system? I don't know what the OEM construction is, but there are a lot of true dual aftermarket bolt in systems for the TRX.

True dual won’t necessarily flow better, but there’s a bunch of factors that go into it. This is something to talk about with an engineer that works with air or liquid flow, and you’d probably have to do some flow testing. There are some engineers here, so maybe they can chime in if they have experience.

There are charts and formulas around that advise the pipe(s) sizes necessary for a given horsepower. They've been around for a very long time. Exhaust makers, engine builders, and hot rod builders use them regularly.

I did find this, that's why I was asking if going true dual would help with flow and power. Plus, if there is enough room under our trucks to run it. I know TRX are a little different then our trucks, so not sure if it would fit? But I will look into it, that is a good idea.

Larry Meaux has a program called pipemax, if you go on Speedtalk Forum maybe someone could run some numbers for you.
Pretty sharp guys over there.
Tom

From what I've found if you're doing well over 400HP you surely need an exhaust upgrade. But a dual-pipe system isn't worth it: in my opinion, equal-length headers with a bigger single pipe in stock place is a way better

I like the sound of a big single as well.

Thanks for the information & help. The shop also said the same thing, so just going to leave the original setup and run long tube headers.
Hopefully will be getting my truck back this week with the new 392 & Harrop supercharger installed. They are just working on tuning it right now.

Be sure and post pics!

Will do! They just finished tuning the truck last week. I'm hoping to pick it up this week, but we will see how work goes.

Sorry, been busy at work and haven't had time to take pictures yet. I'll try to do it this week and post some pics.

Here are some pictures. Just installed Mishimoto oil catch can and K&N filter this week. Will be installing Fuel Shok rims and Goodyear tires this weekend.

Did you use stainless works headers and dual exhaust?

And did you bore out your engine to get those 392 badges? It should say 345
