Folks,

I've finally spent a weekend polishing and coating my truck.

At the risk of opening up a can of worms, I used a DeWalt 20v random orbital polisher to apply some Turtle Wax Hybrid Solutions Ceramic Polish and Wax and then applied two coatings of Turtle Wax Hybrid Solutions Ceramic Spray Coating. The paint feels like glass.

I can't help but to gently brush my fingertips across her smooth flanks as I walk past. But I digress... ;)

Plastic and vinyl: what product will keep the vinyls and plastics black and supple? I've applied some Maguier's Mirror Glaze Vinyl and Rubber Cleaner/Conditioner to a different vehicle with old plastic. It looked fantastic...until it rained. The water washed it off, leaving streaks and runs.

TL;DR : What product do you recommend for exterior plastic and vinyl cleaning and conditioning?

Based on Farm Projects, it looks like Chemical Guys or Cerakote.

Thanks!

I like chem guys vrp. If the plastics are in good shape and just need protectant though, I like using the spray ceramic on them too. That turtle wax spray you mentioned works well. I use it on all my exterior glass too. I've also used chem guys v07 synthetic stuff for that, as well as griots, jay leno's, etc. They're all about the same in my opinion.

Adding to this, I was surprised how well Gyeon worked for my rims. I’m going to order it for the plastic trim also.
