Tuesday i remote started my truck, I jumped in it to head to work and about a 1/4 mile it stalled. I restarted and my low voltage came on along with check engine light. Economy mode would not engage. I made it to work but was only pulling between 8-10.3 volts. After work i started truck and voltage was reading between 13.3 and 14.1. Its been a couple days and truck seems to run fine but check engine light is still on with no codes detected. Called dealership but it’s been a couple days and still no call back. Now this morning I remote started with spare fob (usual fob in truck). It started but then shut off and truck was locked with fob inside. This is my first vehicle with a fob that allows doors to be locked with fob inside it. Ughh

Maybe stop and think about that for a moment? Normal operation would be with fob in your pocket and you inside the truck, right?

My last 3 trucks woul auto unlock if fob was inside the vehicle when lock button was used

So you could never have the doors locked while driving? That doesn't sound right. Now, if you have *manual* lock buttons on the outside of the truck, those should not let you lock a fob inside, but that's not the situation you described in OP.

One additional thought on your OP, you do know you have to step on the brake and press the start button if you want to drive after remote starting, right?
