Alright, so I hit the button to start truck and my son opened door at same time. Immediately stopped starting. I assumed a safety feature.

But then it wouldn't turn over at all. All lights, running boards, etc work fine. Guy gave a quick jump and it started right up, but engine light came on.

Drove to auto parts store. Alternator and battery tested 100. Code says P1DF3, ECU not initialized.

Tried starting, started right up. auto parts store tech said let's clear the code and see what happens. Cleared it. Started it. No issues.

Any other thoughts here other than it threw a weird electronic code when the safety feature initiated as the starting process got interrupted?

Of note, 3rd battery on this truck, all mopar. Only 60K miles.

No safety feature like that I'm aware of. The only one for opening the door is when it is in drive. It puts you in park. The alarm will go off and the truck will stop if it is remote started and running and someone opens the door. Like if someone is inside and tries to get out.

I guess I don't know what to think then. No codes today and no issues starting or driving it.
