Tried something new, Dobinson front springs to give 2.5" lift.

I installed the Dobinson Front springs on my Bilstein struts set at the lowest/factory setting. The springs have more coils than the stock ones ( coiled closer together) and supposed to provide 2.5" of lift with up to 80 lbs extra on the front end. I will say, so far the ride is not much different than my previous setup (in my signature) they feel slightly stiffer but I don't have many miles on them yet. They have already settle .25" so right now I am at 2.25" lift as I did not put the .5" spacer back in. They seem to control the larger tires better when taking on potholes or ruts in the road, which was one thing I was hoping for. I did paint them black as I didn't want light blue springs. I will update after I have more time with them.

Do you have the part number for the springs, and what 1/2” spacer are you referring to?

Part number c16-046. In my original setup that is in my signature I had a .5" spacer.

Yes, it was a tophat spacer. I think it was from Wulf suspension. The C16-046 is part number for the springs.

Ah, ok. I did the same thing when I had my fox coilovers. Thanks for the info!

Just an update to the Dobinson springs. They have settled at 2.25" of lift. This may be because I put them on Bilstein struts instead of Dobinson struts. They ride pretty good and they definitely handle pot holes better with the bigger tires. I now sit at 1.5" of rake but I think it looks good. I may still put the 1/2" spacers back in. I don't want to go up a notch on the Bilstein as I don't really know what that will yield with these springs, height wise or ride wise.

Do you have a picture of that current setup? I'm thinking about to do the same but instead use the HD dobinson C16-048 springs because I will be adding a front bumper with a winch later and want to be able to handle the extra weight.

I reverted back to my old setup of the ORG springs and the Bilsteins with a 1/2 in spacer for 3" of lift. I didn't take pictures of the setup.
