My 2021 just turned 4 years old and has been pretty problem free aside from a suspension issue fixed under warranty that only cost me a tire. But lately the transmission has been shifting a bit abruptly, but not enough to be concerning, and fuel mileage has gotten worse. We had a really cold Feb. so I wondered if it didn't like the cold, but its warm now and the other day it wouldn't shift out of 1st gear. I shut if off and when I started again it worked fine to get to the dealer. They said just drive it and made an appointment to check it out. It worked perfectly for a few days but yesterday when I dropped it off for a test drive it again stuck in first and they found metal in the transmission fluid, so its toast. They said this is rare, especially for the age and mileage. Its under warranty but new transmission could take several weeks to months to obtain.
Two questions:
Anyone else have a similar failing with their transmission?
Anyone have any recent experience waiting for a transmission in Canada, how long did it take to get? I wonder if the tariff war will impact timeframes.
