Did it using ZF 8 Speed Lifeguard fluid and an OEM pan I bought off a member here who traded his truck.
I will say this - there is a noticeable difference in shifting and operation - smoother and quieter for sure.
Guess ZF knows what they are talking about with the 60k fluid / filter change.
I recommend doing it....and put down lots of cardboard if you're an accident prone idiot like me.
