My 19' Laramie Crew 4x4 came with the factory Bridgestone Duelers on it.While they ride great, they have a lot of flex when towing. I want to upgrade them to the Ridge Grappler but do I really need an E rated tire to see difference from the factory tires? I pull a 7x12 V-nose Impact trailer that is 7' tall a couple times a month. The total weight is at most 4000 lbs. I don't have an issue buying the E rated tire if i need to, I just don't want to give any more ri

I have 33x11.5 E rated Ridge grapplers and the ride isn’t much worse than stock. You’ll feel bumps more but the truck feels more planted and solid with these tires.

You will not be disappointed with an E rated tire when towing, especially the Ridge Grapplers.

How much air do you guys keep in them being they are on a 1500 truck? I purchased a set yesterday and they set them at 38lbs.

Right around there. Anywhere between 36-42 depending on heat.

Even when towing? Won't the lower psi wear them out faster?

I ran my old Terra Grapplers at 45 front, 40 rear without towing, and 45/45 when towing on my Titan. The Duratracs on the Rebels are E rated, and I'm running at 55/45, which is factory. I might bump them down to 50/40 or 50/45, but I need some more time on the tires to determine wear. Sub 40 PSI on E rated tires makes them feel too soft.

Yeah, I don't tow heavy with this truck. Maybe 4,000 pounds. Towing 8-10,000 pounds I would increase air pressure to around 60-65.

I had 35 x 12.50 x 20 Ridge Grapplers on my Silverado 1500. They did fine towing, running empty 40 psi, when towing aired up to about 60 psi
