Tired of getting my upper arm shredded by interior door lock pulls

Has anyone changed there interior door lock pulls. I'm tired of the lock pull tearing up my arm when the window is open and I start down the road and lock shredded my upper arm like a meat cutter. Looking to change them to a smooth pull. I have tried to turn the pull but it doesn't seem to unscrew. How are they attached? Has anyone found a nice smooth interior door pull that will work on the 2019 Ram

Yeah, been posted on here many times. Pull out the pin and replace it with a plug. Here's a very recent post about it: Door Lock Catches Skin

Thank you for your replies. I would not of tried the plug approach. I will have to try unscrewing them again.

What's this driving with the window down concept?
In south Texas it is too hot, too cold, or raining. Nothing in between.

I like the cleaner look of the plug, but couldn't unscrew by hand and didn't have pliers available at the time. Maybe this weekend.
