My starter died and I had to be towed. I had to put the transfer case in neutral and use the parking gear release under the headlights knob. Now there is a ticking noise coming from that lever while driving. It comes and goes but is mostly there and changes pitch with speed, not RPM. I can feel the ticking when I touch it and feel it in the cable that attaches to it.
