I was hoping to find a blacked out / smoked lens or assembly for my night edition. Seems everything I find is ether for the 2500 series or the Classic models....not the new 2010-2020 body styles. Every time I think I find one, it's for the Classic! Not really looking for cutouts / designs, just something to match the black trim on my white Laramie. Anyone see something like this for the newer trucks?

There is a guy on ebay that sells smoked out lenses. Other than that I think people have tinted there own. Haven't seen any recon units or similar yet

Thank you...I will check that out. Never thought of doing my own but will search a bit for a DIY method. I didn't know if it was just a lens that comes off and could be painted.

Just get a can of VHT Nite Shades at Autozone or something and smoke your own 3rd brake light and any other lights for like $15.

i went with the one from the ebay seller, i love it. thats just me. it is a little pricey but what isnt for a 50 + grand truck.. oh and i put the lasfit leds in it for better ligthing when used.

$100?? Buy a can of VHT nigh shades, 1000 grit sand paper and preferably a 2k clear. Wet sand it with 1000grit, clean it, spray on a coat or two let it dry, if you want it darker wet sand it again lightly, clean and put down one more coat, allow to dry, spray two coats clear. By this point it should be looking smooth and glossy, if you have any imperfections, wet sand with 1500-2000grit and polish. I did mine in 30min. came out perfect, i didnt even polish it because it got late. Throw in some leds and your done.
