I plan on replacing my OE wheels and tires before 2025 and am starting to keep an eye out for deals. Right now I'm torn between these 2 tires. I'd appreciate input for those who have had either or both. My main criteria in order are snow/ice handling, ride, wet traction and longevity. Tire rack seems to have the Michelin review higher by buyers, but the Conti performing better in testing.

One last wrench - the Conti is offered in both and SL and XL version. I'd appreciate input regarding the decision to choose one vs the other. The most a tow is a UTV on a few hundred mile hunting trip each year.

Not much towing, so SL. Snow, slush and rain has to get out, is the tread open on the outer blocks?

I chose LTX. Sorry, E rated may not compare.

I've had both, I tried the Conti's on my 2019 Ram and had about 40,000 miles on them before I traded it. Both are great tires, I would say the Conti's get an edge for wet traction as it was great even after 40,000 miles. The Michelin's had an edge on snow traction and both tires have good wear.

I have the Terrain HT on my 2022 Rebel.
Needless to say mileage is up huge over the Duratrack.

Very very solid highway tire, exceeding all tires for wet traction.
I should get 40-50,000 miles out of them.

By far the best handling highway tire I have ever run including defender.
Regularly run them up to 100 MPH.

I bought my Eco for mileage, Rebel only trim i could get.
Easily 30MPG on highway.8.2Liters/100Km/.
