Hello,

I have a brand new 2025 Ram 1500. Today I noticed that the temperature gauge is going up to the middle line and then goes down. It never goes over that middle line. Is that normal?

Probably, but the guage itself is basically just a dummy light. Bring up the page that shows actual coolant temp and you will see that there could be a 20 degree temp swing and the needle on guage will never move. On my 2020 Hemi, the needle is in "normal" operating temp position as soon as the truck gets to 180 degrees actual coolant temp, but the actual engine temp can hit 220, and the needle on guage will never move beyond "normal" position.

Yep, pretty much all newer cars the things basically have to be boiling over before the temp gauges move. It's really annoying when you're climbing a grade and temps are hitting 230ish and all seems perfectly 'fine' with the coolant gauge.

Do you think I should take it to the dealer? Thank you very much for your response

What will you be asking the dealer to check? Did you even check the page of what the temperatures are?
