Hello, I have a 2019 ram longhorn now I just bought a new hood deflector by avs it’s the aero skin lighted deflector now I’m thinking about doing a fuse tap I was wondering what fuse number I should tap into? Would like to have the hood lights connected with the running lights? Is that possible? If so does anyone know which number fuse that would be and where it’s located? In the interior fuse box under the steering wheel or the other fuse box under the hood? Thanks for the help.

Not exactly what you are looking for but I fuse taped interior f54. It is active when truck is in AUX or Run but off when truck is off. I connected my switch to that so that the switch is only functional in AUX or Run that way my light bar always shuts off when I turn truck off and I don’t need to remember to turn it off. Works for my design. Having come on with the running lights might require splicing into the headlight wire. There is another post with a YouTube video on that somewhere (I don’t think they used a fuse tap for that).

That one right there, it's for the trailer lights, insert a 22 gage wire in it and push it down it will make a tight connection, you have to use a relay with it, 22 gage can't carry allot of current.

I don't have that hood deflector but I did install 3 amber led lights in my grille. At first I used a fuse tap in F60 but I didn't like the fact that I had no control over the lights. What I ended up doing is running a 4 conductor (16 gauge) cable from the front to the back of the truck (I planned on doing that at some point anyway). I already had a Curt Tee connector installed in the 7 pin trailer harness for my tailgate light bar so I just added the grille lights to that (trailer running lights) and I terminated the ground in the engine bay so I didn't have to use an unnecessary wire. It only took about 10 minutes to run the cable but I'm happy with the result as I have full control over the lights through the headlight switch and have 3 extra wires available for future addons.

Here you go! Use a relay and run the power and trigger off the circuit from the headlights. A bit of work but safest way to integrate lights.

Don’t steal power from a circuit, that’s a good way to overload a BCM and lock it out.
