Tailgate won’t release

2019 Big Horn 1500 4 x 4 5.7 hemi
Anybody have a problem with her tailgate not opening pull the handle hear the click the tailgate won’t open is there an easy fix anybody have an idea?

Every once in a while mine gets sticky. Push in when you hit the button to relieve some pressure from the latch. That works for me.

I have done that in the past as work but the other day it literally got stuck for about 15 minutes. I turn my truck off turn it back on and then it open.

My 2019 tailgate latch would regularly take 2 or 3 attempts to open. Was worse in the summer heat. I thought about taking the tailgate apart to try and adjust it but didn’t want to mess with the sprayed on bedliner

I just got my Big Horn in September, and my tailgate just suddenly stopped opening. I tried locking and unlocking several times, and it seems to just be stuck in the locked position (or just closed). Anyone else having this problem?

Generally:
Some white grease on the latches may help
Also, it wont open when something is pushing against it from the inside
The trick to open it in this case is to push a bit backwards and upwards when pulling the handle
