Was wondering if it’s bent or misaligned out what but at the bottom right corner it seems to stick slightly past the bed and on the left side it does not? Will take a picture and attach shortly

Year, bed, model, regular or MFT?

It looks like the right hinge needs to adjusted inward. I'm between trucks, so can't look, but from what I remember, it's bolted to the side with a couple bolts. Try loosening one, and see if you can push in. Don't completely loosen all bolts, or it may drop. Loosen the first one good, to see if it can be adjusted. If not, slightly loosen the other.

There was a recall on my 2021 vehicle for this, they had to check alignment. Mine was fine, but apparently some aren’t and could cause the tailgate to come down when hitting a bump. Funny though how they can recall for this and not the bloody manifolds that are a safety hazard as well and known issue for years.
