My BigHorn came with an electric pushbutton tailgate latch release, maybe all the Rams are that way, I'm not sure. Anyway this could be a problem if the battery dies and my tools are locked away in the bed of the truck. 
So is there a key or lock hasp replacement or addition for the electric button? Or if nothing specific for the Rams, I'm entertaining ideas for parts that might be useful to fabricate something. 
I was thinking maybe a T-handle from a bed cap could be a starting point? Anyone else have ideas?
