Hey all, I know a few have posted issues with the tailgate being hard to open and not opening with remote. Mine did the same and needed you to push the tailgate in while hitting the release button. Well I seem to have fixed it.

You'll need a T45 torx bit. Open the tailgate and loosen the latch bolts. They have a few millimeters of adjustment forward and backward. Bring them all the way back and tighten them down. Instantly fixed my tailgate. It opens with just pushing the button and the remote even when the truck is slanted forward slightly on the driveway. Whereas the remote almost never opened the tailgate for me before.

You may need to play with the positioning a bit to balance fixing the opening with minimizing the cosmetic effect of the tailgate being slightly too far back when closed. The photo I took is with the bolts as far back as possible. I adjusted them just slightly forward afterwards.

Best of luck!
