Hi guys i need help.

My steering left and right hand buttons behind the steering wheel and the left hand front buttons dont work, including my multi tailgate.

I have disconnected the battery, even unpluged the BCM and the fues look good.

Does anyone know whats wrong? I have read the clock spring has caused issues in the steering wheel, but how would that effect the tailgate?

Thanks

Are the tailgate buttons on the steering wheel?
No. All my volume control etc is and they arent working. My tailgate isnt working also. I go press the tailgate handle and it doesnt poen or even make a noise. Like there is no power to it.

If your clock spring was the culprit of your steering wheel controls, some of the steering wheel controls could work while others don't. As far as the tailgate release, you could check the connector in the tailgate itself. To see if it gets power when you press the button in the upper console. Does your electrical tailgate work with the handle on the tailgate?

So I have ordered a new clock spring and installed it. The buttons dont work still.

There seems to be no power going to the tailgate as i press the button it doesnt click, even with the key fob.

Its weird how both things stop working at the same time.

I have checked the fuses and seems all ok.
