Hi all,

I have a 2019 Ram 1500 and have a very noisy squeak at low speeds when I turn. I have had the 3.5 in Ready Lift with UCA installed for about 4 years now. I was told by the dealer, the squeak is from the tie rod end boots being torn.

Looking for recommendations on if I would need to or should replace both the inner/outer, just the outer, or possible the UCA as well. Any suggestions on if I should use OEM or aftermarket would be great.

Dealer quoted about $1000 for just the outer tie rod end replacements, which I think it extremely high considering the OEM ones can be found on Mopar's website for $80 each.

I just had to replace my passenger side outer tie rod yesterday. It was a $40 part from napa and took me longer to get my tools and jack out than it did to swap that part out. Do it yourself, just remember to count how many turns it was to take it off and do the exact same putting it back. You SHOULDN'T need an alignment if done right, but I'd recommend it just to be safe. It's a 21mm socket to take the nut off the tie rod bolt.
