Looks like many are happy with the Eibach 2R kit. I'm mostly wanting better shocks for 'woop' type offroading. Mostly CA desert. Though a few of the freeways around here have heavy big rig traffic and also seem like woops in some sections lol. At one point, though I had a flat tire, but figured out it was just the damaged freeway.

Any other kits suggested other than Bilstein? I had some Bilsteins on my Jeep and hated them.

Another thing I'm interested in is if these will work for 33" and 35". I have pretty new 33", 275 / 60 / 20. Possible that I could do 35" next time, though not sure if I want to do that since my gears are 3.21. Probably just want 1 - 1.5" for now. Don't want too much lift to where the tires will look small.

The desert is my winter hang. I started out with Bilstein's on my 2012. While they are nice, I believe you will out grow them quickly. While it is quite the layout of money, you should think seriously about Fox, or King 2.5's. Running whoops on Eibachs, or Bilsteins is going to pound you hard. For simple trailing they are fine if taken at lower speeds but desert running is a whole other matter.

I used Eibach Stage1 & Stage2 at 1.6", 2.2", and 2.25" lift with 33.5s and 35s (285/65R20s)..anything you're thinking to do will work, but go right to the Eibach Stage2 COs right away for the most flexibility.

Stage2 w/ 34.6s(285/65R20s)...⤵️

These are total lift numbers, from stock, on the pictures.

@Ready Go is running the Eibach with a 285/65R20 34.6X11.2 no issues. Same here, but I'm running BDS 3" 20X9 0 offset Falken Wildpeak AT4W w/ 3.21

I looked at his pics and yours, looks really good! Just wondering if it would look to tall with mine.

Might move up to your tire size next time. Might be a while though because I've had my truck for two years and only at 16000 miles so far.

I had the 285/60R20s for less than a year (3000 miles at most) and decided to step up to the 285/65R20s..sold my 60s to a Forum member who lives fairly close.👍

Looking around a .75" difference. Some wouldn't care while others it might bother. I know Ready ran 285/60 previously, maybe check those pictures

Probably will be ok with slowing down since it's mostly flat desert that I do. Checkout mines and other forgotten desert sites. Though will look at those. I have had different Fox shocks on my Jeeps for over a decade. Mostly will be for the 60 and 91 freeway woops lol.

I literally do the same. Always on On X trying to find old mines and ghost towns.

These are your shocks?

These are your shocks?

Those are what I'm running, but the BDS 3" kit with UCA and rear coils.

you wanna go fast through the whoops and still be comfortable on highway?
this is it. im on 35s but work with 33s as well.

do it exactly like this and problem solved. this is for around ~500lb in the bed constant.

edit: you may also want to ditch the 20s and switch to 18s as well.

Not mine... I ran a Jeep trail on Saturday and had the chance to see a similar truck on 2.5" Fox shocks. His is a Rebel with diesel engine, but same color.

I spoke with him. He mentioned that if I do the Fox 2.5", I will likely want 35" tires. So not sure I'm ready to do that yet since the 33" are fairly new. He did say he loves the ride. Though this is more of a narrow rock crawling trail, so wouldn't take my truck on stuff like this. He's got some gnarly pin striping as a result. I was expecting his truck to get stuck and be high maintenance. He never got stuck all day (though many Jeeps needed help).

Meanwhile, my truck wouldn't start AGAIN yesterday afternoon, dead battery. The dealer replaced the battery about a year ago. This makes 6 trips to the dealer in about two years. So if this keeps up, I might be trading it in sooner than expected. My wife disagrees...

you can use 33s with fox 2.5. i did for half a year or so before i got 35s. my profile pic is fox 2.5 with stock 33s.
35s just allows you to get away with things more easily, but you will sacrifice about 1" of up travel before hitting the fender liner because of tire size
