Stuck tailgate latch

Hey yall, just got a 2025 Ram 1500 Laramie 3 days ago. Ran into an issue today where the one latch on the tailgate is stuck in the closed position with the tailgate down. Tried getting it unlocked with a screwdriver like the old days but no luck. It an electric locking system so I’m wondering if it’s more than just a quick fix. Any suggestions?

close the other side and try unlocking after? use remote to open and pull on the latch while unlocking at the same time?
