Has anybody ordered a 2021 ram in April and moved out of d status. I can’t imagine that parts for a build could take more than two weeks. I ordered on 4/8. Driving me crazy to not see any progress

6-8 weeks is normal. Things are still far from normal. I would expect several extra weeks. How many I couldn't say. SHAP (where the 1500 is built) has A LOT of Covid absenteeism currently, there's still a microchip shortage, there's also a seat foam shortage, and I'm sure the suppliers all down the line are having issues of their own too. Hang in there. I'm sure Stellantis would love to deliver your truck (and collect their $) ASAP.

Ram lot by my house is darn near empty. They can’t get new deliveries currently. And I’m 27 min south of Detroit

i am also waiting on my build! i call the dealer yesterday to see if i could they could give me a VIN or VON number so i could check on the status. i ordered on 4-13 and asked for the vin on 4-23. they did give me both numbers. my status is waiting on the part list to be filled. i am hoping this doesn't take to long. i also ordered the safety group and other things that might required computer chips which may delay the built due to the shortage. I am not sure if ram is seeing a shortage of chips, i did test drive GMC and Chevy and the salesman were pushing the shortage angle "hey we only have a few trucks, no idea when we will get more" even though they had $4400 incentive. the ram was the best ride, best shifting tranny and best power in my opinion, not to mention the cab seemed to have better designed and layout. Chevys cab seemed very plain and dated, i felt like i was stepping back in time to my 90's s-10 blazer the had a video screen. ram put a lot of thought into the design like the extra storage etc. rear seat ipad holder extra charging ports. those little thing add up. i do have a family and planning pulling a camper so the convince of those things matter. I WOULD rather wait and be happy with my what i got that settle for a truck on the lot and be unhappy for years making that payment. i want it now! keeping my figures and toe crossed for a quick build and shipment. keep in touch we can see if our time lines about the same. what are all your option?

Ram rebel. Granite metallic 2tone. Rebel 12 plus level 2. Convenience group. Bed utility group wheel house liners. 33 gallon tank spray in bed liner sun roof night appearance. Blind spot. Electric transfer. Ordered on 4/8. Will definitely post when I get out of D 🤞🏼

If anything, blind spot is probably holding it up the most. (Just guessing) That feature was eliminated from some trims/packages to save some of those precious microchips. You'll probably only get one key fob too with an IOU for the second one when the shortage eases up.

i bet you are right! i would not freak out about only one remote for the time being if it help get my build going!

What trim level and options, and what country do you live in? Depending on those things, and other variables, you may want to prepare for a long wait.

I ordered a longhorn 3.6.21 and am still in D.

Trim? Options? Like blind spot monitoring and other tech stuff like that? Or a lower trim without many options?

Edit: Sorry I missed where you listed it above, with your options you may be in for a bit of a wait, but I have seen similarly optioned rebels move past mine already (of a similar order date). So luck of the draw but maybe you'll at least have better luck than some of us have.

I ordered 2/23 and was in "D" for 6-7 weeks. It seems to be norm and should be where expectations should be set. I'm almost at week 9 and finally got my window sticker.

Officially at 7 weeks since my order on 3/6, so hopefully I am near the end of that stage and things will proceed a little quicker after that.

Yeah. I’m trying to be patient. Not easy

i am in PA only states away from the plant

I’m in ny. A copy of my build is a little further back in this thread

It really isn't. I would be happy to have mine within the quoted 10-13 weeks, which would be early June at the latest. Longer it sits here without progress though the less likely that becomes, and for a few reasons I would really like to get rid of my current 17 by the end of May or early June. What part of NY are you in? I'm in the Binghamton area.

I'm in NY right along the PA border, what part of the state are you in?

I’m in upper westchester county. 30 minutes north of the bronx

My trade is losing value every day as my commute to work is 100 miles round trip

Ordered my truck out of queens ny. Bayside. Never been to a better dealer. They were so good to me I refrain myself from bothering them. Instead I harass ramcares. Lol

Last year I was in love with this truck. Until I drove the rebel. Can’t wait to park her next to the wife’s rt
