Hey everyone! I have a 2022 RAM 1500 (New Gen) with the 3.6L engine in the LoneStar Edition. I've already upgraded my truck with the infotainment package to include rear parking sensors and also the digital cluster upgrade. Now, I'm trying to add front parking sensors to make everything work seamlessly, but I've run into a bit of a roadblock and could use some help.
Any help or advice would be greatly appreciated!
Thanks in advance!
Here's what I've done so far:
- Research: I found the necessary parts for the front parking sensors:
- 5YV68TZZAA – Outside sensor
- 5YV69TZZAA – Middle sensor
- The Issue: I can't seem to find a proper harness to connect everything. I dissected the rear infotainment harness and saw that everything connects to a module: P68440530AC. In a video I watched, it mentioned that if you want to connect front parking sensors, you need to use the "front port" on this module.
My Attempt:
- I ordered an identical harness for the rear, hoping it would fit the front port of the module. Unfortunately, no luck—it doesn’t fit.
- Dealership Interaction: I called the dealership for help, and they offered me a harness that connects to the fog lights, but not to the module I’m working with (P68489202AA). This isn't what I need to get everything working as I want.
My Question:
Has anyone else had experience with adding front parking sensors on the 2022 RAM 1500, particularly with the infotainment upgrade? Where can I find the correct harness that will plug into the module and connect the sensors? It seems like an easy solution, but I’m not sure where to find the right part or what the next steps should be.Any help or advice would be greatly appreciated!
Thanks in advance!
