Last week I had my 12 inch u connect screen stolen out of my 2021 bighorn. When it arrived at the dealer and they evaluated the damage, they told me that one of the pieces that was stolen was the radio control module.

They mentioned that the issue with this is that Stellantis has begun to make new radio control modules that are not backwards compatible with the older versions. They described that because of this incompatibility issue, even if they do all the work to replace the 12 in screen, the display will not function until they get a compatible control module for it. They said that they've had trucks on their lot waiting 6 months for Stellantis to fix the issue.

Has anyone heard of this being an issue in the community and know if a solution is being worked on?

I am not sure of the avaibility of the older units from them. I know they were running short. This can be correct as of 2022 they changed the units to connect 5, 2021 is the end of connect 4. what they prob wont do is use an older unit that would work then update it properly. They don't have some of that ability. If you figure what the total cost of the radio will be, you can purchase used parts and have it programmed (which you can buy tools to do this).. or upgrade to connect 5 on your won. they wont do that. You have options. yes this might be true they cant get the module for your truck
