An article was posted on the home page with this title. Does it really make sense to take the hit in efficiency to convert 400V to 800V using an electric motor? I would think the added cost of energy required to run the conversion and loss of efficiency would make this futile. Also, since the 400V charger would be current (and thus power) limited, I don't see where the 800v conversion will result in the vehicle charging faster. It seems like this solution (400V->800V conversion) would simply allow reducing wire sizes and thus vehicle weight. It's hard to believe the eMPG or cost of ownership would be significantly improved. I was hoping the story would disclose what the current plan is for the REV and Charger since 4Q24 will soon be over (wasn't REV supposed to launch in 2024?)
