Steering wheel swap?

Well, I didn't think missing the steering wheel mounted volume/radio controls would bother me, but here I am days later realizing it really bugs me.

2026 Ram Tradesman Warlock. I've tried searching and I'm seeing a lot of retrofit threads and others from older trucks swapping newer steering wheels etc, but haven't seen other people swapping wheels just to get those controls back.

If I buy a wheel with the volume controls off a 25+ Ram and swap it on, can anyone confirm if I would need any additional hardware, modules, or dealer flashes? From digging I know that adding a heated wheel would require a new spring and other goodies, but I don't need that heated wheel as much as I want the radio controls back.

That's not what I like to hear lol

Do you figure it'll be a programming or parts issue? I was searching and found some 2025 take off steering wheel and the wheel/buttons looked the same, was really hoping I'd be able to swap the airbag onto the new wheel and go about my day.
