Have a question got a 2014 ram 1500 express 2wd replaced both upper and lower control arms. Shocks and tie rod ends and hub assy. Intermediate shaft is good. But when I go over a bump the steering wheel shake left and right truck still drives straight. Just not sure what else to check.

I think the 4th gen and 5th gen drivetrains are similar mechanically but you would get a better answer in the 4th gen section.

Several things can cause this:

- Bad alignment
- Worn/broken steering components
- Wheel(s) out of balance
- Loose bolts
- Bad parts
- Poor installation of new parts

I'm sure there's more but that's just what jumps out at me initially. I would rule out the driveshaft as none of the drivetrain is a factor in the front with a 2wd. If you felt the vibration/shake in the seat or floorboard then I would consider everything. With 2wd and you only feel it in the steering wheel I would start with just the front components until you rule them out.

It's hard to diagnose something like that without being there as there are a lot of variables to consider (type of bump, does it do it at the top or bottom of the bump, how bad is the shake, is it more of a shimmy, does it do it at certain speeds, etc.).

Without taking it to a shop it will be a process of elimination to find the culprit.
