Hi Everybody,

Bought a 2022 Big Horn 4x4 brand new. At about 5k miles I noticed a chirp/squeek coming from the rear driver side. The only time it is noticeable is when I turn into/back out of my drive way (which is on a little bit of an incline) while turning OR, when I'm driving slow on a gravel road with some pot holes. Of course I can't replicate the sound when the truck is parked and rocking it back and fourth/ side to side. I've heard about the brake clip issue so I tried spraying the clips with some lube and the sound still exists. Also sprayed the bushings where the rear sway bar is. I figured I reach out to you guys first before I send it into the dealership blind. It definitely sounds like metal on metal squeeking. I crawled under it and didn't notice anything loose or out of place. Anybody else having these issues??? TIA!!!

I have the standard 3.21 WITHOUT the anti spin or locking axle. 5.7L engine.
Oof, man I dunno. Without the LSD it's not what I was thinking. I would still jack the rear up and spin both wheels (one at a time) by hand to see if it makes any noise, just to rule the diff out.

So I have a similar noise, only happens when slowly turning into or out of inclined driveways. Causing my rear to flex a little. Like the rear half of my truck is flexing through the slow turn, seperate from my front.

It's my exhaust pipes.

My exhaust rides extremely close to a rear bump stop. When i turn they'll slightly touch the metal part of my bump stop, and squeak. But I don't have stock exhaust, I have an aftermarket catback system that doesn't fit perfectly (Borla S Type). I can't recreate it by hand either, only happens while driving over potholes, speed bumps, or when the truck flexes into or out of inclined driveways.

I would complain to Borla, mine didn't fit perfectly either and they reimbursed me the cost of having an exhaust shop fix it. Too damn expensive to have an annoyance like that.

Ha yeah I did. They offered to reimburse me If I had it repaired at an exhaust shop of my choice, but I just never got around to it. Basically just stopped caring about it. lol

That's exactly how I would explain it!. But I have a stock exhaust....

My '22 Limited 4x4 does this as well. I have the 3.92 rear end. I can't figure it out either -- only when the front goes up and the back of the truck stays down. I would like to find a solution as well

Another source might be the spare tire. It looks OK at first glance. Make sure it is fully inflated and snugged up tight on the cable. One of those things we all ignore until we don't, because we need it, and it's about as flat as the other flat on the truck. Over time they will drop a few pounds of air, loosen up and rattle around. A couple of trucks back taught me that lessen. Didn't have a flat but was stuck chasing the rattle around for several months before I found it and had a good laugh at another of the once in a lifetime things.

I found this issue guys! Went under my truck again to see if anything was loose. Sure enough I found some metal bracket where the bolts are almost falling out and the bar dangling. Attached is a photo. The driver's side rear tire is just to the left of those bolts. Anyone know what it's for??? Only 5k miles!!! To the dealer i go....god forbid this thing fell off while on the highway!20220606_193943.jpg

Check any bracket between the rear shock and gas tank. It's exactly where the sound was coming from. Spent 60k+ and my truck is already falling apart....

Gas tank skid plate mount?
Went to the dealer. That's exactly what it was. Funny thing is, my truck didn't come with the skid plate option. It's like the factory just put a bracket on it and that's it. There were no other markings to indicate that there was indeed a skid plate installed on it. The service manager was scratching his head.

Free parts are never bad. It was probably left loose to be tightened after the skid was installed.

Mine does have any loose hanging brackets -- I'll keep looking.
