Looking for the best option to get a smoother/soft ride. Under $500 and would like it to be level and nice feel like I ran through a crater on every little bump
I put slightly talller tires on my 2020 right after buying it new, and it made a noticeable difference in ride quality. I sold the "almost new" tires that came standard, so my overall cost was only about $400.00.Looking for the best option to get a smoother/soft ride. Switch to 18" wheels and get some sidewall flex helping.Looking for the best option to get a smoother/soft ride. Under $500 and would like it to be level and nice feel like I ran through a crater on every little bump
I have a bighorn and I’ve gone up to a 60 series tire from the 55. I feel every little crack I run over on the roads. Felt it with old tires and still feel it with newer tires. Just wondering if something was better than the stock suspensionI'm a little confused with your request. Does your 5th gen ride rough? Are you looking to modify your suspension to be smoother than stock? In stock form 5th gens ride smoother than any truck I've ever ridden in. Not sure how our Limited could ride any smoother than it already does.
4x2 = cadillac ride. 4x4 changes things a bitThe Mopar lift actually improved the ride of my truck. Even with the 35" tires, it is still by far the smoothest truck I've been in.
As asked already, what tire pressures are you running?.I have a bighorn and I’ve gone up to a 60 series tire from the 55. I feel every little crack I run over on the roads. Felt it with old tires and still feel it with newer tires. Just wondering if something was better than the stock suspension
Tire pressures are at 36-37As asked already, what tire pressures are you running?.
Just to be clear, Big Horn is a trim level and is available as a 1500 and as an HD (2500, 3500). Your tailgate isn't lying to you, it's still a Big Horn even though it's an HD.just got back from the Cadillac dealership.
Tech told me my truck is a HD not a big horn like it say on the tailgate and my tire pressures were at 60, with a broken coil and shock. This forum is the real deal, great to be a part of. Now I can delete my account and not worry about truck
Yeah, that was very unnecessary.GOOD bye...GOOD riddance!!! punk
This forum as well as many others is for people who ENJOY SHARING their f*cked up chit so other poor basterads DON'T have to be drug thru the ringers by stupid *** "mechanics" and poched for $$$$$$ by idiots....
PLEASE DELETE NOW

I stopped trying to assume what other people should know about vehicles a long time ago. What I take for granted as common knowledge is akin to rocket science to some people. So who am I to judge if someone comes on here saying they thought they bought a 1500 when in fact they bought a 2500 or 3500. I know this can happen because I work with a lot of people who are clueless when it comes to cars and trucks. Someone might come into the office and say they bought a new car. I'll ask them what is it, and they might say "it's a red BMW". At that point I don't even bother asking about engine options or trim levels LOL. I work with a lot of very smart people, many with PHD's. They know a lot about writing software or developing power systems, but all their smarts were used up with that.Yeah, that was very unnecessary.
That being said, does the OP really have a 2500/3500? Sig says 2019 1500.
Also, If the dealer said he has an HD truck, do they even know what they are looking at? I ask because…
That statement is probably the dumbest $h!t I’ve heard from a service tech and tells me that person probably has no idea what the are talking about.
On the flip side, as an owner, how do you not know your truck is an HD? Many differences…HD Badging, 8 lugs instead of 6, wheelbase, etc. etc.
Oh well, at least the OP found the issue, But Something just doesn’t make sense.
