When trying to press the rewind button to start a song over on XM it's telling me that my skip limit has been reached... wtf is that? Ive had uconnect for at least 5 years and have never seen this before.. also seems to only happen on channel 293 "prime country"

Can anyone else test this?

Just tried pressing fast forward and got a message stating 2 Skips remaining... did xm go pandora?

SiriusXM bought Pandora over a year ago. I think you're allowed 6 skips an hour.
Makes sense.. just not sure why that's my only channel that it happens on.. will all channels be heading that route?

the higher number channels are streamed via the onboard cellular. note the wifi signal symbol vs the satellite symbol on the top next to the station banner.

so ... high number = Pandora. low number = XM.

by high number I believe it is the over 200s

So why are we paying for this again..... Ram needs to provide a better solution for something that is available for free if they want any of us to keep it!

XM never has been free, outside of trial subscriptions. What is the 'better solution' you are looking for? FM?

I was referring to Pandora, the free service allows so many skips and then you have to wait before you get more. At least that is the way it was last time I used it, been a while.

Ah, got it. .
I have been a Pandora user for years. I pay about $5 / month. Don't mind supporting them.

Cheers,

Pandora stations are basically sprinkles on your ice cream cone.
you PAY for the cone. if you like, the sprinkles are free. if you don't like, skip the sprinkles. nobody is forcing you to take them.

You pay for the XM stations. no price hike when pandora came to town. on my wife's car there's no pandora because there is no hotspot.

That's exactly probably the issue.. The Dodges/ Rams I've had didn't have the hotspot.. probably why I never noticed until the 2020 Ram
