Sirius XM Favorites not Saving

Hi all - just picked up my 2019 Limited and am having an issue with Sirius XM presets not saving every time I turn the vehicle off and back on. RAM customer support seems clueless.

I can’t find the thread but I recall others having this issue. Can anyone share with me what the fix is/was? I think it might be a Uconnect update, but I don’t see a place on the screen to force an update.

Tony, if you just got the truck, the dealer has to list it as sold with SXM and that will take it out of demo mode and then it should save your favorites and other defaults. Took a couple of days for mg truck.

Wish I can help but im having the same issue, can't save favorites. Can't find the screen that they save on or that would show you other fav. songs and artist. I believe I am out of Demo mode after a month of having the truck and shows me how many more days I have XM for so not sure if it's as simple as getting out of demo mode to locate favorites.
Im only getting a pop up on the screen that tells but no chime and no screen to go to the song, once the pop up comes and go's i have no idea how to locate the song.

I'm not sure I know the 'secret sauce' here, as I've not experienced this issue. But I'm (1) on an active trial (i.e. non-demo), and (2) I try to remember to save my seat settings after any changes to the truck configuration (not knowing which UConnect info is retained with those settings).

Here’s the weird thing. You can see in one picture I circled a long narrow line of presets in red. Those are the ones that automatically reset themselves. However, if I push “favorites” (circled in green) it shows my favorites (shown in 2nd picture). It’s saving favorites to “favorites” but the shortcut/preset keeps resetting. I really like climate on top with the radio on the bottom for my “home” screen. From here you can see the preset/shortcut just shows “hold to set”.

Im not sure if the whole truck is in “demo” mode, but SXM is on an active 1 year trial and it’s even hooked to my Sirius Xm account.

I figured it out! You have to have a user assigned to your SXM. To do that, go to settings, Sirius XM Setup, add a user. If there is no user listed it doesn’t know what to do and just defaults it all every time.

Don't think the 8.4 is the same as far as users in Uconnect. And my favorite artists and songs are saved, but never show "on air".

Thanks for helping out but I did the station saving the day i purchased it, that portion works my favorite stations are set up all up on top like your photo. That's not my issue, my issue is saving my favorite song and artist actually I did that but it actually finding them why they are on air. When you save fav. songs and artist it gives you a warning usually a visual and a sound. However, I only get a visual pop up on the top of the screen. Now what screen do i go to to view that song or artist along with other songs or artist that i have saved as favorites?

exactly, and besides the volume its probably my only complaint. my last challenger had a great u connect. favorites were all on one screen, you were able to stay on that screen and song or artist would just pop up and id be able to pick and choose what i want to hear. It was so easy to add or remove songs also.

I basically just listen to live news and music on SXM, so unfortunately I'm not much help on this. Sorry :/ For what I use SXM for it works perfect, but I can understand why you'd be frustrated with your listening preferences.

I just set up all my favorite stations today and filled up my favorite artists, doesn't hold that many. When a favorite artists comes on it pops up on the top of the 12" screen and on the right side of the notification I believe there is a "tune" button to jump to that station.

hi,guys! Lost my sirius radio 4 days after purchasing the truck and now lost the sirius icon on the 12 inch uconnect! dealer claims its a sirius issue!

I had the same problem, and after a good deal of head scratching, finally figured it out.

The radio station presets are associated with your keyfob. To begin,

a) set each keyfob to a profile - either “1” or “2”. The owner’s manual explains how to do it.
b) Assuming you have now started your vehicle using key fob 1, using profile 1, set your radio presets by tuning the stations, then pressing and holding the preset buttons until they beep.

c) now here’s the trick: on the door panel, first press the “S” button, then the “1” button. You will see the message “Profile 1 saved” on your message area. Now when you fire your truck up using the same key fob, you will see your saved presets.

NOT at all straghtforward.

Anyone know if you can have more than 12 presets that work with the steering wheel button? I was able to mark more than 12 SXM channels as favorites but the button will only cycle through the 12 that show on the top.

A big thanks to MrBill for this. I have been frustrated for over a year now with my Sirius radio losing all of the presets the I put in. Sirius said that it is a Ram/uConnect problem, and the Ram dealer said it is a Sirius problem. This is the first idea that has worked!

Ditto on the big thank you! I have the issue that started this post and now I will attempt to re-associate my keyfob with the presets and memory recalls.. If it doesn't work...I will be back.
