So I am the second owner of a 2020 Big Horn 12,000 miles, with the 4c U-connect 12" screen. Also, the 360L Sirius radio. I get no internet connection on the higher channels. Satellite stations work fine. This has been going on for a couple of months. I came here when the problem started. before registering on the site tonight and found the answer. By doing the reboot holding the vol and tuner knobs in for 30sec. With car off in run. It worked 2 months ago, but on Nov 13th the problem started again. I did the same procedure. This time the system would not go into reboot mode. No matter how I tried. So, I pulled fuse 44, and that didn’t work. Then I disconnected the battery cables and followed the procedure for a hard reset.
I have been in contact with Sirius, of course the first person gave me some real BS answers. Telling me that U connect must put a modem in the truck. You can't tell me that. I am a pretty capable retired ASE mechanic, and understand the system. I know the 360L has its own modem and does not rely on AT&T. I explained since I owned the truck for 2 yrs it has been working. I have a full access subscription, but don’t have Guardian. That my U connect Nav and Traffic Subscription is good till 6/25 and all that works. Sirius sent refresh signals but that didn’t make a difference, since the satellite stations work fine.
I called U connect who put me in contact with AT&T. But they have nothing to do with this problem. Since there was never an AT&T account. Plus, it shows in the settings the modem is active, and there is a username and PW for it, if I wanted to use it for a hotspot. I was then transferred to Sirius again. Elevated to the tech dept, and this has been going on 3 to 4 calls a day. They were supposed to call me back, after I spoke to them, and told them I went to a dealer in my area. Service manager told me I did all trouble shooting the right way. But he said it would be about $400.00 to just have it diagnosed. Sirius said they would be working on it with the dealer I went to. That was Friday and was told I would be called back today. So today Nov 18th I was out driving at 12pm, the radio started to work for 15 min running errands. Turned the vehicle off when I got home. Went back out tnite, and again. Can't connect to the internet. I can get the streaming stations using the app plugged in using Android Auto. The question I have is why all of a sudden, I can't get it to go into reboot mode? By using the procedure that worked the first time. I am starting to think that maybe it is the shark fin antenna, can this be the problem? Or is it the radio since it doesn't go into reboot mode anymore? Also I went into the dealer settings holding the 2 buttons at the bottom of the screen. All settings say I am up to date on the Software version 20.04.19, Flash Version 1.1.0.0 Boot Micro Version 20.04.01. Plus all other specs look ok.
